\ There is no specification of Laylatul Qadr. It could be in any one night of the entire year - Ramadaan - last ten days of Ramadaan - odd or even. Rasulullah (SAW) advised to search for Laylatul Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadaan. The people of every area will calculate the even and odd days according to whenever they commenced fasting.http://www.islam.tc/cgi-bin/askimam/...=4357&act=view Ubada bin Samit (Radhiallaahu Anhu) reports, "Once I enquired from the Holy Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) with regards to Laylatul Qadr. He replied that it is in the odd nights of the last 10 days of Ramadaan. Whoever worships Allah with full conviction and anticipating reward from Him shall have his past sins forgiven". From Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 32, Number 234: Narrated 'Aisha(ra): Allah's Apostle said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan." Volume 3, Book 32, Number 240: Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit(ra): The Prophet came out to inform us about the Night of Qadr but two Muslims were quarreling with each other. So, the Prophet said, "I came out to inform you about the Night of Qadr but such-and-such persons were quarreling, so the news about it had been taken away; yet that might be for your own good, so search for it on the 29th, 27th and 25th (of Ramadan). |
