the question here is how valid is information on forums? and which forums to follow? I see quite a few forums around when i search the words islamic forums. but some of them i read a few posts and those make me wonder if we should be following them or not as there are a few things which i know are correct.
And i think there are many other forums coming up as well. what are some of the reliable forums whch you guys use other than this one? this ofcourse is one of the better forums that i like. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...STRK:MESELX:IT |

Yes...thank you for pointing out the correct terminology....i did mean debates....reason is that this is what i see and with these forums being so highly indexed in google, people like me who are not very familiar with some of the things in islam or have questions, it just confuses us a lot more when we see these different debates totally opposite on different site.....

Don't worry about these debates. Stick to the 'Ulamaa whom you trust and that practice on what they teach. The 'Ulamaa here post much less than the users that are active. If you have a question then post it in the Senstive Q&A sect or Hanafi Fiqh Q&A. I'd suggest Sensitive Q&A since only Moderators and 'Ulamaa are able to see them and reply. There are some highly knowledgable and sincere brothers/sisters on this forum and when they engage in an academic discussion that contains detailed islamic info. then it's best to leave them at their discussions because they know what they are talking about. Plus you will see that the 'Ulamaa here do not post much because they are either busy working for their Aakhirah, busy schedule, or some of the posts do not concern them or some of the posts are plain futile and useless talk. To gain a sound understanding of Islam, studying under a qualified Shaykh is the way to go. If I am mistaken in any of the above, please forgive me and remember me in your dua. Regards, al-Ghazali. |
