saw this ad for a house in canada....(i edited it to make it generic so it doesnt get deleted by a mod). .........It includes a house, upstairs has 3 bedrooms, large kitchen, dinning room, large living room, and washroom. Downstairs also has a kitchen and was intended to be used as a 1 or 2 bedroom dwelling, with its own entry (although finishing renovations will be required if it were to be used as a living space). House has a double drive way entry, a large area for a vegetable garden, and a large garage which can be converted into a barn. Also there is a cement slab foundation on the property where the main barn had once stood. The property also comes with about 15 acres of field land, a section of which was used as pasture and another for hay/wheat/barley etc. Has an excellent view of the surrounding area..........Excellent place for starting a self sufficient farm and community...........asking for the house and farm land $60,000.00 Canadian Dollars, which is a very good deal, as the government currently says the house by itself is worth $80,000.00. are houses really that cheap in canada??? |

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Salaam alaikum, I posted the ad originally and I probably wasn't supposed, so I apologize for that. And thank you brother for generically re-posting it. The house and property is located in Eastern Canada, Province of New Brunswick. We are trying to make it affordable for people as we really want it to be sold to a Muslim family/person. Houses around here are not sold this low usually, as I mentioned the government assesses the house alone as being $80,000.00, and this does not include the 15 acres of farm land. So actual price for something similar would be over $100,000.00. We want it sold to Muslims, this is the main thing. Also we have hundreds of acres of property in the same area as I said so we hope to eventually bring more families here so a small community can form. It would be great for a madrassa/masjid, as the house has three entrances, and the way that it was built would make it very easy to have it as such. Wood heated and electric heat, and it has also two water wells on the property, one for the house (which is a year old only) and one out in the field near the barn. This is a picture of the backyard in winter. The sky is a bit grey, but you get the idea of the view. If anyone is interested in any capacity please continue to post here. Also if anyone has any suggestions as to where I could contact people who may be interested to buy it please let me know. Jazakallah khair. |

Salaam alaikum,
It is not in a city, rather out in the forest area, the closest cities to it (larger cities) would be Miramichi to the North and Moncton to the South; there are some villages and a few little towns closer by. Yes the house with the 15 acres of land is worth over a $100,000.00, but as I said we are trying to make it affordable and be honest with Muslims that there is some work that needs to be done to it, but it is in a fine condition as is (I'm in it right now actually), and the work that needs to be done can be done over a period of time. |

Salaam alaikum, No wonder it is cheap. If it was in a city, you'd earn a fortune. This forum doesn't have that many Canadians. If you only want to give it to a Muslim, then you'd have to go it in your own locality and forums might not help. Craiglist might help. May Allah help you Ameen. |

Salaam alaikum,
I appreciate your advice, although I would have to say that the property is not "cheap" because of its location, as if I put it on the regular market, we could get over a $100,000 for it, as no property here sold for less than that. I am just trying to make it easy for Muslims and give an opportunity to buy a property at a lower price. |

Salaam alaikum, Yes I know, I did not mean cheap as in due to its natural location. We had a misunderstanding Akh. |
