salaam

in salaah can u recite the surah the prophet used to recite everytime for a particular salaah? E.g. Witr? It says in mukhtassar al quduri that u cant but i want to sesure im undetstanding it right

One of the sahaba used to recite surah ikhlas always in prayer because he liked it,

im just going off what it says in my hanafi manual mukhtassar al quduri. I need an explanation on what exactly it means
