Assalamualaikum,

I have searched for this question on this forum here and elsewhere but did not find an answer.

I understand that a woman's awra in front of non-mahram male, is everything except her face and her feet (disregarding the difference of opinion for a moment). One of our friends pointed out that since a woman's hair is part of her awra and her breasts/perineum are part of her awra that there is no difference in the sin of looking at either.

Is this true?

Is gazing upon the hair of someone at school/work equivalent in sin as looking at a picture of a naked women on the computer? Are these really equal?

Or are there grades within the awra, so that hair

Why do you need to know if there is gradation in sin?

Isn't it better to avoid all such sin of gazing at women?
