Default what should I do now? what is right and what is wrong?
as salaam alaikum brothers,

this is my first my post in this forum. I am really confused with my life. last two years was really hard time for me. Everything went wrong. I always try to pray to Allah and ask for his mercy. I don't drink and I always try to save myself from bad deeds. I live in a place where halal food is hard to get. That's why stop eating beef and chicken. i always try my best to help people but i don't know why life is getting harder for me. I am trying to get a job for last two years. but I couldn't find one. I went through serious financial crisis. also because of this, i couldn't concentrate on my study. I went through situations when I didn't have a single cent with me. I never had big ambition and desire for wealth. At first, I was praying to Allah, asking for my basic needs and also seeking for his mercy. then I thought, probably I should not ask for anything which relates to our needs. I don't know why the almighty Allah is so unhappy with me and punishing me so badly. I have no hope and I am tired of this life. Please suggest me, how should I pray to Allah and how can I get his mercy. Please help me out.

السلام عليكم

You seem to be living in a foreign country, life becomes much harder when you leave your country of birth and go to foreign lands to work and study... May Allah keep you on the steady path of Iman.

WAS,

Brother hang in there, most of the people in this world are in situations that they don't want to be in. Some people are suffering from health issues, some financially and others in other ways. Just believe that whatever you are going through is a decree from Allah(swt) and there is a reason behind it, that we will never be able to figure out in this world. Since its said that there are only two ways to please Allah (swt): shur and sabr, please make sabr and be steadfast in ur prayers and other dealings just like you have been thus far. Its a matter of time and this phase too shall pass. This is a great time for self reflection, and strengthening your bond with Allah (swt). Make lots of duas, this is a time when your duas have a special place in the court of Allah(swt), maximize the opportunity. Also look around and you will find a lot of people who are in worse situation than you (not to belittle your situation, but something to thank Allah (swt)), try to achieve something from what you have, if you think enough, you should be able to find it.

I know some very pious people suffering from health and other issues and they face each day with the hope that Allah (swt) will lift them out of their situations (indeed after every difficulty is ease). There are some scholars on this forum who can provide you with some amals (such as reciting Surah Waqia'h after Maghrib) that will help ease your situation.

Also try taking loan from some muslim brother. Whatever you do, do not despair the mercy of Allah (swt) (anyways, that our eman, correct?).

I went through a similar phase in my life and alhamdulillah it has passed. There were days when I was sure that Allah had abandoned me and I did not want to do anything anymore, but I made up my mind to cling to the rope of Allah and no matter what I always kept my prayer and always tried to better myself. These situations are there to make you a stronger person. I promise you will be stronger after going through this rough period, and you will taste the sweetness of satisfaction and relief when it is over. During this time I prayed to Allah and I did not get what I wanted at that time, so I made up my mind to accept what ever happened to me and I tried to love Allah for who he was not for what he can give, and this eased the disappointment when I was not given what I made dua for. The wisdom of this event you will see much later down the road and it is hard to see hope when surrounded by darkness, but just like all of your muslim brothers who have gone through hardship, this will pass. My advice is to hold tight to the Quran and Sunnah and never give up hope in the love and mercy of Allah, and remember that this life is just a dream and your goal is the after life. When I feel down I like to recite Surah 93 Ad-Duhaa as it is short and uplifting. Keep asking for what you want, but be content to know that Allah knows best, and that what comes after is better than now. InshaAllah this will past and you will be glad you went through this period.

Edit: Brother Transitory nailed it

Don't worry brother, when we are going through difficult times its not necessarily that Allah is punishing us. Trails and tribulations are a way of expatiation of Sins.

Watch this video: Why Allah is doing this to me why bad things happning to me?

brother, thanks for your nice comment. I always try to be patient, but you know what, at the end of the day you have to buy food, you have to pay your rent and tuition fees. can't ignore the bitter truth of life. At first I was crying in my prayer and asking for help. I talk with one of my friend and he said you should not ask for anything which relates to this world. so, I stop asking for anything that relates to this world. Now I always ask for something for after life. But, if I fall in trouble, to whom I can ask for help. Only Allah can help me. So, which one is right? I must have done something wrong or i am still doing the wrong thing. that's why this things are happening to me. I need to know, what is right? what is wrong? I always try to eat halal food. I thought if I can continue this way Allah give me rizik. but for some reason it didn't happened. I help so many people, but when I need help I couldn't find anyone to help me. why? I am doing something wrong...i need to know.

Asalam Alykum WrWb

Dear brother, its not about something wrong or something right.

To begin with, I dont understand why your friend told you so. If you have needs, you "must" ask Allah SWT alone, whether its bread, money, help and support.

1. Dua is a very very strong weapon a muslim has. So make abundunt dua to Allah SWT to help you through this trial, to open doors of oppurtunities, ways in which you can make more money and satisfy your basic needs.

2. Astagfaar - We all make mistakes, we all are immensely endulged in sins whether small or big. Recite this as much as you can:

http://www.ummah.com/Al_adaab/ilm_ul...istighfar.html

Keep this in your tongue while you do work etc.

3. Do what Allah SWT is asking you to do - That is make sure you pray 5 times, sunnahs, recite Quran. Atleast the minimum compulsory. If you have time, do extra ibadat to attract Allah SWT mercy.

4. Recognise that its a test and will pass - but its testing you patience and sabr. So stay focused on Allah SWT and you will inshaAllah find means to change your situation

Il pray for you.

JazakAllah khair.

Its better not to expect things from creations(other people), because they will disappoint us. Only Allah can satisfy us. Make Dua, its very important. Its the weapon of the believer and Always be patient for the result of Dua. Don't worry Allah is the Most Merciful. Frequently recite the Following Dua,

‘O Allaah, make what is lawful enough for me, as opposed to what is unlawful, and spare me by Your grace, of need of others.’

Also recite Suratul Waqiya (Surah no. 56) after Isha everyday, It will increase Rizq.

AOA brother,

Would want to give you an advice which I use when I get into hard times.

Recite "Inna lillah-e- wa inna illah-e rajioon".

A meaning of one of the ayats of quran, is that when We test them through hard times, they are ones who recite this, and do sabr and pray.

If you can then it would be doubly beneficial to recite it by concentrating on the meaning of the verse.

Please have faith in Allah.

After all there is no one who loves us more than 70 mothers, .

Just have faith, times ALWAYS change.

Jazak Allah,
Saad Qureshi
