Default Qubul, Qubul, Qubul: Dahej Qubul hai.

A beautiful "halal rasm" that is taking lives in Asia, DAHEJ.
Someone said that there is nothing to stop me from asking for Dahej from a prospective FIL.
Well...there is nothing to stop anyone from begging in the street, either.

Dahej qubool hai

ISTLUCKNOW: While both communities (Hindu & Muslim) may have a fair share of differences on most issues, when it comes to bride burning, Muslims are proving to be faithful followers of their Hindu brethren.
From a promised dower to dowry demands and then dowry deaths- it has been a long downward slide for nikah in Uttar Pradesh.
And the lure for lucre among the minority community seems to have overruled everything, including the tenets of Shariat or even the inviolable terms of the model nikahnama passed by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board last year.
The phenomenon which was limited to a stray case has shown a definite spurt in the last three years. Court records also support this contention. There are 107 cases of dowry deaths, section 304 B Indian Penal Code (IPC) pending before the Allahabad bench of the high court alone, according to confirmed sources.
The statistics show an upswing. Number of cases filed before the bench in 2004 was 50, while in 2005 it jumped to 57.
This does not include 32 cases of torture related with dowry demand. The actual number of cases filed in the lower courts or pending before the Lucknow bench may increase the figure by four times, the sources claimed.
Interestingly, apart from being the first in reporting the highest number of polio cases in UP the trophy for highest dowry deaths among Muslims goes to Moradabad. The district reported seven such cases in 2005. Other places in comparison have one or two or maximum three marked against them.
Provocation for taking the life of a young bride, according to a study of the chart, could be something as paltry as "a gold chain for the groom to inability of the parents to pay Rs 12000." Craze for motorcycles is also proving to be too hazardous for Muslim girls as in more than a dozen cases the hot wheels have claimed innocent lives.

The father in law may not have a car, but giving car to the daughter is sunnah.

He may not have his own house, he may be staying in a rented house, but offering house to the daughter is sunnah.

is it sunnah or sin-nah?
Hilarious
