I would like the good Colonel to express the same wishes when he lays his eyes upon his first hoor. ![]() |

I go to sleep and work and come home to four pages! Thank you all for the serious answers, and also for the silly, lighthearted ones.
I suppose I have gotten my answer..... all will be married. I like the suggestion that someone wrote one page 1 about God creating a brand new spouse from the person's rib, as he did with Adam. I trust God's decisions and choices. If I end up in Jannah and must be married there, then I suppose I should like to be married to someone like Colonel Hardstone so that we can each ignore each other and pretend each other does not exist. If not, then I will be grateful for all the other woman who will occupy my "husband's" time and attention. (P.S. This is meant to be taken in the lighthearted vein that the thread has taken. ) |

Why do you chose one over other while you can have them all?! Plus, what if Hoor are much into contest, won't you enjoy racing with them? Well it's your choice of course, but if I end up in Jannah, please remind me I will engage in a legendary race with you on top of a Mountain Banshee, while you driving old 4-wheel rectangular box. ![]() ![]() |

Bismillahi It is said that Jannat will be a place where you will have eternal satisfaction. tell me honestly can we have eternal satisfaction here in this world?no. then how can we compare our whims and desires of this world to the gifts of Jannat?even if a man is given everything in this world he will still want more. that shows dissatisfaction. but that wont be the case in Jannah. we will be eternally happy and satisfied. so try and focus on getting there rather than what will be there. and keep reminding yourself of Hell fire. May Allah save all muslims and forgive their sins! |

here is an example of the Prophet (PBUH) who was told in his lifetime that he will have the highest rank in Jannat in sha Allah:
Volume 5, Book 58, Number 266, Bukhari Narrated 'Um al-'Ala: An Ansari woman who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet that the Ansar drew lots concerning the dwelling of the Emigrants. 'Uthman bin Maz'un was decided to dwell with them (i.e. Um al-'Ala's family), 'Uthman fell ill and I nursed him till he died, and we covered him with his clothes. Then the Prophet came to us and I (addressing the dead body) said, "O Abu As-Sa'ib, may Allah's Mercy be on you! I bear witness that Allah has honored you." On that the Prophet said, "How do you know that Allah has honored him?" I replied, "I do not know. May my father and my mother be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Apostle! But who else is worthy of it (if not 'Uthman)?" He said, "As to him, by Allah, death has overtaken him, and I hope the best for him. By Allah, though I am the Apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me," By Allah, I will never assert the piety of anyone after him. That made me sad, and when I slept I saw in a dream a flowing stream for 'Uthman bin Maz'un. I went to Allah's Apostle and told him of it. He remarked, "That symbolizes his (good) deeds." Where do we stand as compared to his deeds? |
