I have an honest question about marriage in Jannah. Every now and then I see threads made by women on these forums who are concerned about their husbands' having multiple wives in jannah (young virgins, really). But my question is of the opposite in nature.
Is marriage required in Jannah? If a woman does not want to marry in Jannah, will she be required to? Or will that desire to be married be already set within her following death? (In other words, she will want to be married regardless.) What is the fate and state of the "happily unmarried" in Jannah? |

Almighty Allah created human beings with countless of inner faculties, feelings and needs. One of them is, an intimate companionship through marriage. This is a created thing, a deep desire in our spirits and bodies. Sometimes people can't fulfill these needs in this world for various reasons. Nevertheless, adhering to Iman and chastity will bring about eternal pleasure to all the inner faculties and feelings in Jannah. How will it be for a widow, Allah knows best, but definite thing is that they won't be neglected at all! We human beings do not belong to this world; we belong to Jannah. It is a place where our feelings, desires, needs are best fulfilled and satisfied.
In Islam, there is a famous authentic tradition. Prophet Muhammad (piece be upon him) said: إِنَّكَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ You are with whom you love. الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ The man is with whom he loves. Same thing applies for women: The woman is and will be with who she loves. What this suggest is that, in this world if you love someone sincerely then in Jannah you will be with him - provided that he ends up in Jannah too, otherwise you could both end up being in Hell Fire. Jannah is a place for eternal bless, joys and pleasure. It is in Allah's hands to offer her a marriage with someone she could enjoy her life there. Or, Allah can simply create a perfect husband from her rib bone, just like he did for Adam (piece be upon him) creating for him a wife.. And Allah knows best. |

But my question is of the opposite in nature. Maybe the answer is with Adam as, why did he desire to have a companion despite having all the enjoyments of paradise for himself alone? I have seen beautiful sunrise and beautiful sunset in beautiful places, observing them alone has its enjoyment but sharing them with a companion has a unique charm and its own level of enjoyment. |

I too don't know somehow I am not least interested in marriage in Jannah. Khair here is what I found in a hadith The Prophet (saw) said: “The first group to enter Paradise will be as beautiful as the full moon, and the group that follows them will be like the brightest shining stars in the sky: each man of them will have two wives, the marrow of whose leg-bones will be visible through the flesh because of their extreme beauty. There will be no one who is unmarried in Paradise”" [Sahih Muslim, Kitaab al-Jannah, Baab awwal zumrah tadhkul al-Jannah, 4/2179, hadith no. 2834] Now I don't know if there will be exceptions or anything. Perhaps scholars know better and Allah SWT knows best. |

Are you people married? Yes happliy married but not interested in any Hoors or Women in Jannah; they can do their own stuff whatever they want to do and I will do my stuff. Not really interested in the Servants and the pampering either and they can do whatever they like as well. I guess they can pamper the Hoors and women! Want to get to Jannah because it means not being in Hell and after that its "Game Over" and nothing to worry about so its all Cool. |

Please be careful what you are writing, because on Yawm ul Qiyamah, everything we said or wrote will have to be accounted for. |

If I have written something against Shariah please let me know so I can repent. Jannah is the place for reward and many things to pick and chose from so I chosse not to want Hoors & Women. Is there a problem? |

Not you bro I was asking the sister This is what I feel that I have "some plans for Jannah" which does not involve Hoors and women. If you feel that I need some Islah done and change my mind I am willing to listen to you. I want a Jannah version of these two and I will be happy. For some people it may be petty and childish but that's what I want! A Sahabi (RA) wanted "Red Camels" and I want these... GOING FAST INTO DANGER IS WHAT I WANT IN JANNAH! |

Creation of Allah swt vast, everyone a bit different. Whats off for someone is on for someone else. I just respect it and move on, as long as I get to where I need to be Im good. yes that is the beauty of creation of Allah SWT that each are different. As long as we please Allah and be saved from hell by His immense mercy, Alhamdulillah. All these desires vary from person to person and we just know in Jannah everyone will be happy with countless bounties and everyone there will be pleased accordingly. wassalam |
