• Authetic means insha'Allah it will be effective.
• I've written why it should be read. You are most welcome not to read. The number is fixed so that a person has an aim and strives to get to it. The main purpose is to read it abundantly until the Sehr is broken. You can increase the number and decrease the days. Your wish
• There is no restriction from Rasool Allah to read the Quran or repeat an Ayat. This number is not fixed that it cannot be changed. Nor is there a claim that it is from Hadith.

That is not generally what is referred to as authentic. The impression one gets from the term is that the 'amal is derived from the practice of the Prophet, peace be upon him, based on authentic texts.

Since that is not the case, it may be better to choose a different word, such as "Effective 'Amal for everyone".

Brother u have used the term "Authentic";which means this a'mal has been done by our beloved prophet (Sm);and it has a narration which is authentic. Can you prove it? If you can't prove, then I will just request you to advise people the a'mal that are proved by the authentic hadiths. Because the best guidance is the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (SM). Dont tell anything from your own..

The specific number is for ease of counting. You can increase it. The more you read the better the results.
