Visited Ummah Forum for the first time. Should have done earlier. (And of course there is only one life to earn the ticket to hereafter so the number of fora visited has to be limited.)
So here are the stats as of writing Ummah.com - Muslim Forum Statistics Threads 282,020 Posts 4,188,727 Members 47,307 sunniforum.com - a resource for the propagation of authentic Islamic teachings Statistics Threads 62,463 Posts 565,219 Members 48,056 Active Members 748 So the number of threads is more than four times. Number of posts is about eight times. The number of users is nearly the same. I like it that way. It is good if you have less number of posts and threads to read. Tell me more about that forum. Whining : They do not have my favourite button Today's Posts, or do they? |

Bismillahi
Sunni forum is much better in many things Alhamdulillah. Mainly sunni forum doesn't open up the door for fitna where as in ummah forum, the case is entirely different, private and visitors messages are open between the genders that has caused severe trials to many. We know how shaitan can take over and I know how much it is a destruction to the youth there for it is more like chat forum. I know how men and women fall there in trial by chatting freely that has spoiled them in many levels. I wont be surprised with more threads there and it should not be compared to sunni forum for they can open any thread that one should only feel pity. Unwanted talks can take away the noor from the heart and forums like that unfortunately open that door. Even if in sunni forum if people get addicted which has only mostly religious things is not a good thing, then think of such forums where people will be addicted spending there hours and hours with so many useless threads. I am not saying there is no goodness in it or there are no good threads for definitely there are good threads and good members too. The main advantage I would say there people can get the awareness of current affairs of the muslim nations and topics related to Jihad can be openly discussed which unfortunately cannot be discussed here. Also as that forum lacks scholars, the way the layman discuss the deeni things too is not good and it can be quite misleading. That forum would be great if people stop all the message sharing between the genders like this forum and they control the unwanted threads which will cut off almost 50% or more of that forum be it the general section, marriage section, language section. General and marriage sections used to be the worst where we have more members sharing which is very very unfortunate. Quantity should not be taken and it should be quality and I personally dont recommend that forum to anyone and in fact i advised against participating in that forum for the fear of the evils. Allahu alam. Let Allah forgive me for saying anything wrong and let Allah help all the muslims and make our time blessed and save from the trials of both the worlds. Amin |

You get all sorts of people there, sufi, salafi, muqalid, rarely shi'a etc,. some open minded people, some close minded. If I have to compare then SF is now the same if it continues to increase its arguments and less islamic threads are made...
They do not have any 'Ulamaa. The one Mufti they did, posts very rarely there and that too, one post or so only.. |

SF has gone from a great mixed forum where ideas and projects were discussed to a "Deobandi forum" to a "Deobandi Paki forum" to a "Hazrat A and Hazrat B" forum in the last 2+ years Take a look at most initiatives and projects and you will notice that they are "old SF" stuff. Take a good look at the quality of posts, research and analysis and most posts are over 2 years old. |

I personally have benefited a lot from sunniforum. It helps me focus more on Islam. But hey everything has its own pros and cons. I will try to stick around as much as i can. |
