I really respect the (late) Ahmed Deedat (may Allah forgive his sins and grant him paradise). Ahmed Deedat has converted scores of Christians, many of them Christian pastors and priests. He may come across abrasive but what he says and how he refutes from the Bible is very logical, especially to priests who deep down know the Bible has been altered.

i am afraid z.naik is being treated like a superstar scholar and ppl are asking him on matters not related to comparitive religion like "my husband is following sufism, it is ok?"...."no shirk no shirk no shirk!"

personally i think heavy debate is a bit of energy waste

a christian preacher tried it on with me

i smiled and said..under khilafah ill look after you but pay me tax

he said..youre a good human but will go to hell if i dont accept jesus

i said..now youve hurt my feelings but i wont hurt yours..THAT is islam

then i walked away

Assalamu alaikum,
I was thinking about this exact topic so I searched the forum. My take is as follows. His abrasiveness has converted countless people for sure. On the other hand it has turned off other people. Now the question is, those thousands who converted through him, would they have converted if he did not make these lectures. Most probably no (i.e. looking at the means because Allah can convert anyone anytime). So overall the effect was positive.

Are you talking about the same Ahmed Deedat who was a staunch supporter of Khomeini and Shia iran??
some say he was their paid agent. He was pro-rawafid, just like his "student" (zakir naik) is pro-ghair muqallid.

Maybe you should not pass bad comments on someone who is already dead. Especially unproved Allegations. No one is perfect, if he has sinned, May Allah forgive him, Ameen. But there is no doubt he has done good things as he has helped many people to accept Islam. So let Allah be the Judge and leave out the bad things bro.

Just check out the links i have posted. It's not me, its HIM who is openly promoting the iranian agenda.

As for respect, i have said nothing insulting. But being dead only makes one subject to the verdict to Allah, but it does not wipe-off what he has done in the dunya. meaning, a good man shud be respected both during life & after death. and a bad man shud be hated both during life & after death.

Its obvious you didnt even bother to look at the links, but instead resorted to defending him. So please dont judge me, by saying that im wrongly judging him.

May Allah curse those who defend shias or consider them their brothers. He who refuses to recognize them as a kaffir, is himself a kaffir. A person may be the best person in the world, but shirk/nifaq means he will burn in hell.
