Default General question
ASAK,

I am a muslim and I have few questions, I am not very well versed with some of urdu terms, I am learning and thats why I joined this forum. I have couple of questions, insha allah people here can help me:

1. What is the significance of "jalwa" in reference to marriage rituals?
2. What is a middleman/broker who helps in finding groom/bride called?

Brother Taliban has a point your question isn't clear.

2. What is a middleman/broker who helps in finding groom/bride called?
The medium can be anyone, from an Imam, a family member or a friend and as far as I know there is no specific name for one who helps find a marriage partner.
