I can think of only two things:
No third reason. The war is not for Oil. The Islamists can never take over (according to them).Once Gazzafi goes out, they'll come in for the kill. They keep a check on them through their puppets. The puppets are injected everywhere. وَ لَنۡ تَرۡضٰی عَنۡکَ الۡیَہُوۡدُ وَ لَا النَّصٰرٰی حَتّٰی تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَہُمۡ They will never be pleased with you until you accept their deen. They HATE you until you are called a muslim. You can be secular, you can be moderate, you can be anything.. They won't forgive you for being a muslim. |

Oil, why else? Libya has some of the largest light sweet crude reserves in the world (light sweet crude is the highest quality oil), and prior to the invasion they were preparing to nationalize fields that were under the management of American oil companies. Glenn Greenwald has an amazing article about this here: http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/gl...bya/index.html This is also a nice article I found: http://www.salon.com/technology/how_...war_connection BTW, American oil companies have already started deals with the Libyan rebels. |

Some other facts (that mainstream media will never tell you) about this "terrible dictator and blood sucking monster" Gaddafi who "terrorizes" his own people in Libya...the real story! - Credits to Libyan citizens were given with NO interest. - Students would get paid the average salary for the profession they are studying for. - If you'd be unable to get the employment the state would pay the full salary as if you were employed. - When you got married the couple got an apartment or house for free. - You could go to college anywhere in the world. The state paid 2,500 euros plus for accommodation and a car. - The cars were sold at factory cost. - Libya does not owe money, (not a cent) to anyone. No credits. - Free education and health care. - 25% of population with a university degree. - No beggers on the streets and no homeless (until this bombing). - Bread costs $0.15. No wonder the US and other capitalist countries do not like Libya. Gaddafi would not consent to taking the IMF or World Bank credits at high interest rates. In other words Libya was INDEPENDENT! That is the real reason for war in Libya! He may be a dictator, but that is not the US problem, He does not take US dictation, that is the problem............ |

just my thoughts.....
for dajjal to tempt people with food and water then it means that there must not only be scarcity of food and water but also very strict controls over it otherwise people, communities and nations will be able to grow their own food, rear their own cattle and harvest their own water from rivers and other methods. so dajjal needs to control this and in order to do this he must implement a system that allows him this control. anyone or any country that is part of this system will be under the control of dajjal. anyone or any country which is not part of this system will not be under the control of dajjal. if even one country is out of his control then the whole chain becomes weak. so this weak link has to be first isolated so that it is not part of the chain but as long as it is there then it will always remain a threat. so then it must become part of the system. every country, every economy, every army, every nation needs to be under the control of dajjal for his reign to be effective. so every country needs to have an economy, army, leadership, and people that are dependant upon dajjal and under the control of dajjal so that he and his minons can control and manipulate the economy and food production. any country, economy, people, leadership that is seen as a threat and a weakness in the chain will be attacked, invaded, occupied and taken over. the attack and occupation does not need to be done in a singular stage but may be done in different stages and might occur over many number of years in such a way that the reality is not apparent to the casual observer. leadership subservient to the dajjalic system can be implemented in a way that is not apparent to the people who will be fooled into thinking that they are living in a free demockracy but instead will be manipulated upon every step and stage of their lives in the grander scheme of things. |

More than Oil, it is because Qaddafi was an agitator for a "united" Africa while at the same time the Chinese had been, and continue to try, to gain a foothold in Africa. I cannot even begin to tell you how important Africa is to any emerging power. The more and more "united" or integrated the Africa economies became, the easier it would be for China to exploit Africa for its own purposes before the West did. Just do a little research on Chinese investments in the last 5 years in China and this much will become obvious.
As for why, seemingly, the West is helping the rebels, they are helping them only enough to create a stalemate and/or fractured victory. The country will either be partitioned into two or when the Rebel wins, we'll see a pro-West faction emerge battling the others. The West may even fund both sides against one another and then offer to "help" the Libyan people by stationing military "advisers." The Libyans, grateful for the help of the West during their battle with Qaddhafi, will accept "advisers" but make clear (in their own deluded heads) that these are not "soldiers" and what they are setting up is not a "base." As a result, the U.S. will gain a significant base in Africa to check unwanted Chinese expansion, some oil, yet another base in the Middle East, and may create another Western playground in the region to replace the Beirut of yesteryear. |

Assalaamoalykum-w-w But I thought that as Muslims our criteria weren't these; it was about Iman, implementing Shari'ah and true justice. |
