Is it allowed?

It would be allowed per se, but your prayer becomes invalidated if the dead mosquitoe stays attached to you for short while, since it's considered najis.

I used to be a genocidal maniac in my child hood. I've killed many a fly and my hands are drenched in their blood.

Tricky... if you slap the mosquito and there is blood, would this be considered "bleeding" by the Hanafi and invalidate their wudu?

I kind of assumed that mosquito blood is excused... we used to get droplets of blood on our clothing from mosquitoes when doing tarawih.

after slaping the mosquito, the blood is part of mosquitos body, and not yours.

In the hanafi madh-hab, your wudu' is invalidated by blood flowing from yourself, not from a mosquito!

Blood is an problem becuase of it being najis. In the hanafi madh-hab, there is an excused amount of filth allowed on one's body. However, does a mosquito even have blood?

was-salam

thanks everyone

I brought up this question because I see so many things that you can further ask

1. can you kill anything during prayer? what about dangerous animals (i.e. spiders, centipedes, scorpions, etc) should/could we kill during prayer or run away?
2. blood issue: your blood, blood carried by mosquitoes
3. moving your hands waving the bug from your ear (excessive movement?)

etc

A small amount of blood isn't the problem here. According to the shafi'i madh-hab the dead insect itself is najis.

Edit
Need to check what i wrote earlier, so I removed it.
