I need clarification regarding the above, dis Ahmad Raza ask these 2 noble personalities to clarify their believes before he made takfeer? I have heard that he waitied 17 to 19 years and they never replied to him.

Any truth in this?

Kindly point me to any links etc.

My 'personal' opinion is that we shouldn't be obsessed such controversies, especially on disagreements between scholars/sects. It has of no use other than to satisfy our nafs.

I asked this question for academic/reference needs. There is alot of misinformation out there regardiing this issue. Most people are also ignorant of the facts. I firmly believe that defending the honour, respect, integrity of Ulama Haqq is important in thistime when there is a general movement of the masses away from the Ulama.

No he never did. These are all made-up lies. The truth is that Ahmed Redha was obsessed with making Takfir of these ulama , especially when he was locked up at Haramayn. You can read the details of it in Risail-e-Chandpuri ( Maulana Murtaza Hasan Chanpuri Rahimahullah ) and also in Al-Shihab Al-Thaaqib by Maulana Madani Rahimahullah

For the sake of argument, lets assume that the letter was sent by Molvi Ahmad Raza and Mawlana Qasim Nanotwi

didnt respond to it. Even then, this did not give the right to Molvi Ahmad Raza to do takfir.
