Asalamou Aleikom brothers and sisters.

I recieved some serious warnings in the form of messages of an organization called Muslims Helping Muslims on FB.

For those whome are concerned about the NPO {Non Profit Organization} Muslims helping Muslims, here are my personal concerns.
On their website they claim the following: Donation by check or money order or even cash can be made at this time We are still in the process of application for our NPO non profit organization status, and have as a new charity not been able to establish accounts for a charity though this will be done very soon inshallah. {You can find this claim on their Donate page}
~ Now under the USA LAW they are NOT ALLOWED TO ACCEPT DONATIONS UNTILL THEY HAVE THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER AS AN NPO ~
As an NPO { non profit organization } there are a couple of steps you need to take covering the red tape etc.
For EXAMPLE you have to have an NPO bank account. They say they are in the process of being registered, well that means that they collect the money on a personal bank account wich is NOT ALLOWED!
But since they do accept donations on a personal bank account without being registered that simply means they are a business.
As an NPO you are tax extempt wich means you dont have to pay tax over the funs and donations what you have recieved from people, in this case they have to pay tax over every single $ that has been paid to their account!
Also registering as an NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION does not take 8 months, unless there is something wrong!
They can only accept donations if they are registered as an NPO that means that they will have a registration number wich will be located on the website of the Department of secratary of state in this case South Carolina.
An example of that you can find here... http://www.secretary.state.nc.us/cor...itemId=9753728 now NOTE here that the states is LEGAL, however there is a problem report, in this case in speciffic some signatures on the application file were to light and needed to be resent with a black marker.
I have checked the registering status of Muslims Helping Muslims....It is NOT THERE!
They arent registered as in yet, that doesnt mean they are not in the process of being registered tho, it marely means that they arent registered. And therefor they are NOT allowed to accept ANY donations AT ALL AT THIS TIME!. { Mind you once again..... being registered as an NPO does NOT take 8 months!}

SECTION 33-31-204. Liability for preincorporation transactions.
All persons purporting to act as or on behalf of a corporation, knowing there was no incorporation under this chapter, are jointly and severally liable for all liabilities created while so acting except for any liability to any person who knew or reasonably should have known that there was no incorporation.

With the warnings I recieved in my message box I sent Mr Roger Davis the owner of Muslims Helping Muslims a message I just thought he mabey did not know how it worked so I advised him.
Here is the Message I sent him earlier today:

Asalamou Aleikom brother, i have been checking your website muslims helping muslims, are you aware that you are actually engaging in an illegal fundraising activity at the moment?
you say you are in a process of being registering as an npo, when you are you are not allowed to recieve any payment and certainly not on a personal bank account.
Also you are punnishable by the law if you continue this.
my advise is to remove the paypal button and remove the personal information where to drop of the money.

I sugest that you check the registration forms again. You know if people complaing you are liable and as a matter of fact you are supposed to sent back the donations you already recieved.

Akhi, this is a serious request, i have recieved some complaints you should act on it.
If you are in the process of registering then wait untill you have the NPO registration nr and it has been sent to the department of state of south carolina then and only then you create a npo bank account and be allowed of recieving money.

Akhi do the right thing and remove the paypal button and the po box etc.

Brother I will start by saying assalamu alaikum

I have been running this charity for quite some time with NO problems at All I have had various persons from outside the united states say things like your saying and your all trying to have good intentions but your simply wrong.

I have various people who are in poitions of authority here in the US I know what I am doing and am in no way violating any law here by doing what I am doing.

The more important factor is I am following the Laws of Islam you dont have to support what we do because we do it for Allahs pleasure not yours I have no interest in arguing with you or anyone who are you to have recieved complaints about me. I am not interested in having argumentation on this may allah bless you for your intention if it was good


Now there are a couple of things wrong with his answer....
I have been running this charity for quite some time.... So? That only means that he is running his business already for quite some time in an ILLEGAL WAY!
All I have had various persons from outside the united states say things like your saying.... So? Only ppl from ouside USA? I dont think so, My Lawyer is an American
I have various people who are in poitions of authority here in the US I know what I am doing and am in no way violating any law here by doing what I am doing. So? What does that mean EXACTLY? positions of authority? And YES WAY you are violating the LAW Big time even!
The more important factor is I am following the Laws of Islam... And that my brother is debatable, As A muslim you DON'T LIE, As A muslim you claim on your website that you are being in a process of registering as an NPO, and the fact of the matter is.... You are NOT! There is nothing Legit about this. If you do it for the sake of Allah swt then why is it that you are leading people on? Saying that you are being in a process of an NPO? That my friend that is a LIE!
After Mr Roger Davis sent me the message he imeadiadly took me of his friendlist.... why?
Did I hit a nerve?
If you have nothing to hide then the truth can be said.
Am I to harsh?
I dont think so.

As I am working on a NPO myself I know that there are many rules to follow red tape to cover, also these kind of actions harm the Muslims whom are following the rules and trying to do good!

It seems to me that the Muslims Helping Muslims " organization" have no clue what they are doing at all.{ Or they do....you decide!}

If I am wrong may Allah swt forgive me Ameen Yarrab.

However i have seen way to many dodgy things to let it slide!

For the people whome already donated to them, you know it is all about the intentions May Allah swt reward you ALL!.

For the people whom want to donate to them..... My advise to you is you better wait untill the registration number has been provided on their website, wich is required to do so.
So that you are able to check them out completely before you are donating.

This is just a warning to all the generous people whom try to do good out of their hearts, May Allah swt reward all of You Ameen Yarrab.
