Brother taifah mansurah my advice to you would be to check it out and attend the zikr majlis a few times inshallah you shall benefit. Also check out the various other majlies up north and then compare them. See what suits you. But from my own experience the owasi zikr and tawajuh is the most powerful mashallah. At the same time I respect the other shuyukh and maybe you will find more compatibility with them. At the end of the day its up to you. The goal is the same but the means are different....

I can recommend Mufti Zubair Dudha sb, who has his Khanqah Ashrafiyah Akhtariyah. In ramadhan there is zikr majlis daily after fajr and islahi majlis daily after asr.

allot of youth have taken bayt to him.

outside ramadhan there is majlis every wednesday. local residents to dewsbury/batley can listen on reciever 454.7937.

instead of just going to a zikr majlis, go to a shaykh who is present and benefit from him diretly then just a moments of gain from the zikr.

also very important to know if the shaykh does bayt or not and is skilled in tariqat. there are various khalifahs of great shaykhs but not all of them are active in tariqat.

Maulana Abdul Rauf DB does not take bayah from people. I asked him last year and he said he doesn't do it.

Since your based up north please try and attend the majlises of Hazrat Asif Hussain farooqi db. They hold gatherings on Sundays. Also maybe one of the Blackburn brothers can post something about the whereabouts of the majlis of Shaykh Ismail Wadee db. Also in Bury Maulana Hashim and Maulana Yusuf Motala saheb hold majlises. Many guys from Batley and Dewsbury go to Maulana Hashim's majlis and he has some khulafah in the respective places too. These are some names. Check each of these majlises out and try and attend each one a few times inshallah and then make up your mind.

there is moulana Asif khalifa in Batley he is the main khalifa of m. hakeem akhter sh. in u.k !

and masha Allah his bayaans are exactly like he's sheikh's bayaans.

i thought the main khalifah is Mufti Zubair Dudha sb in uk, who runs the khanqah of Hakeem Akhtar sb. a friend of mine is mureed to him and says the other uk khalifahs when they meet for majlis in leicester have said mufti sb's bayaan reminds them of their shaykh.

although no doubts ml asif sb is worthy as well as all other mashaaikh. and i think dewsbury batley have a good few. if ml yaqub kasmi sb had khilafat i would be bayt to him.

well i thought for a very long time the same thing that moulana Zubair dudha was the main khalifah but it was 2 years back when hazrat moulana abdulhameed sahib from south africa came that i found out that m. asif khalifa sh. is the main khalifa.

masha Allah had the chance to meet him a few times after that even once had the opertunity to spend the full night with him alhamdulillah.

masha Allah one thing that i can say ,that he is a person with a lot of fiqr for the youngsters ,he has every sunday one majlis in dewsbury after zohr and one majlis after asr in his house .

now the majlis in his house a lot of people come from far distances,and masha Allah he has many young farigheen in his murideen.

but you should allway's phone him before going to any of his majalis because he does many majalis in different part of the country's as well like just one off's .

he has a weekly majlis in leeds or bradford.he try's to keep a weekly majlis in sheffield ,and many other destinations.

i would say go try it one's insha Allah.

i'm not advocating at all for people to become his mureed ,but the truth is that the maqsood of tasawuf is islah and that could be done the best when the sheikh has time.

and one thing that mufti Inayatullah sh. d.b said last time "that majority of the people make the mistake to become bayat straight away ,when the asal is not bayat but islahi ta'alluq ,a person should go to different mashaikh's majalis in the beginning and keep taking advice on different matters and when he is 100% sure that he will act on the teachings of the sheikh then he should get bay'at "

moulana abdul rauf sahib's son is a very close friend of mine and indeed i can say that moulana abdulrauf sahib is a buzurg of a very high calibre.

maybe there are no karaamaat and tasarrufaat but the shariyah and sunnah is 100% in his and his famillies lifes.

but the only problem that you would have that he doesn't take bayah from anyone.

insha Allah soon his khanqah will start and then he will keep a weekly zikr majlis.

there is mufti moosa badat sh. d.b who is also the imam of masjid mahmoodiyah ,masha Allah there are very few people that i have seen that masha Allah are soopen in answering questions.

he keeps a weekly majlis in masjid mahmoodiyah after zuhr namaaz where they recite first durood shareef and then 200 times zikr nafi ithbaat.

and then he reads out of a book.

brother i myself because i live abroad i don't really know the names.

but yes it has been about 6 years now that one of his murideen has been building it.

and majorrity of the works where completed about 4 years ago , the only problem woz that moulana was not giving permission and all the work was being done without his permission.

but just this year he agreed and all the works where finished ,because just befor ramzaan when i was at his house his son told me that the works have alhamdulillah completed and soon inshaAllah weekly majls will strt.

Molwisaab, what will the zikr majlis involve? I was under the impression that Maulana Abdul Rauf DB was Mujadidi Naqshbandi and they do silent zikr?

no not at all hazrat moulana Abdul Rauf sh. (d.b) is a chisti he has his khilafat from moulana maseehullah khan sh. (r.a) ,and if i'm not wrong he has khilafat or just ijazat e suhbat from moulana hakeem akhter sh. D.B !!!

he doesn't keep zikr majalis because the Ashrafiyyah branch in the chistiyah don't keep majalis zikr because the actuall sunnah is infiraadi zikr.

but he used to keep and will keep islahi majalis insha Allah.

i don't knoiw the exact day and time ,if you want i can give you his sons number but only if you are sure about going insha Allah.

Moulana Abdur Rauf Saheb (db) has khilafat/ijazah in all four tariqahs but practices upon the chisti tariqah as far as i am aware.
