whats all this obsession with the Mahdi..its unhealthy
It's a part of deen to believe in Imam Mehdi (ra) and Hazrat Issa (as). Reading about it fills an individual with hope for a future where life is how it should be. If the brothers and sisters on here want to read about it, then good on them. You're confusing interest on the part of Sunnis with what Shias believe in, which really IS obsession!

Well good for you if you are mashallah! and that's what we should be doing and ARE trying to do. However, if someone wants to read up on Imam Mehdi then I don't think it's your place to look down on them. They aren't doing anything wrong, so instead of criticising them maybe you should applaud them on reading up on aspects of Deen of which belief in Imam Mehdi and second coming of hazrat Issa (as) is ONE of.

I dont understand why some of us make certain topics almost taboo. I do not at all think that a person showing healthy interest in learning any facet of deen is obsessive. Just because Imam Mahdi and Isa a.s do not concern our day to day ibadah, does not mean that they are not within Islam, or rather they are off limits to muslims lest they become a doomed nation.

If the forum is hosting 100 diff topic at the same time and a couple of them happen to deal with Imam Mahdi in one particular time and space, I hardly would call it an obcession.. If any, I would call the slogans and recurring posting attitude of anti-madhabism as the biggest obsession among people (i.e they indulge in it whether they know anything or nothing, simply put - obsessed).

So read up on Imam Mahdi if it instills love for him in your heart, the better. If it give you hope to do more for future, go for it. and if you feel you are getting to obsessed by it, seek Allah's protection and start learning something else from within deen.

Isa (as) doesnt know the sunnah of muhammad (saw), because he wasnt in the ummah of muhammad (saw).

but when he decends from heaven he will know the sunnah of muhammad (saw)...we know this because he will join the salah behind imam mahdi straight away right?

so he will be taught the sunnah of nabi (saw) in jannah where he is now residing.

So why wouldnt we change our madhab if we have to? so we can follow the sunnah from a flawless source ?

no disrespect to any of our beloved imaams (rahimahullah)
