salaam From the Deobandees, the Naqshbandi-Owaisi folks (of Akram Awan) are doing their Majlis in Sheffield. These are people of Bid'ah with serious Aqeedah issues so everyone should abstain from their company and they have been refuted and their Aqeedah issues highligted by Ulama. From the Non-Deobandees, Murabatun CULT are active in that area and should be avoided due to "adding matters into Aqeedah" and insistence on Music and Bid'ah. |

the owaisi cult use camouflage tactics like the chameleon to dupe innocent muslims. to deobandis the claim o be deobandis. to barelwis they claim to be barelwi. if they are not sure what you are they say they dont follow either. from my experience they hold their monthly national majlis in birmingham in a barelwi masjid. the barelwis contribute to their majlis by giving speeches and naats. their main ameer in this country is a barelwi. in batley they tried to put on a deobandi face by getting a deobandi alim to conduct talks and majalis for them. when i asked them (the main ameers in pakistan) directly what they are they replied they are neither barelwi nor deobandi. but stay away from these people for the sake of your iman. search the forum for more info about them. |

Are you from Sheffield? Its the Majlis in the Masjid associated with Maulana Shoaib Desai Saheb (HA) as I don't think that he knows about these Oasees! If you can inform him to discuss the matter with Shaykh (Hazrat) Maulana Yusuf Motala Saheb (HA), that'll be great. |

Will get someone to pass on the message insha Allah, but if you could just give an outline as to why or which scholars have warned against him- don't need the details. To cut a long story short it is best that Maulana Shoaib Desai Saheb (HA) contacts Shaykh (Hazrat) Maulana Yusuf Motala Saheb (HA) and takes his advice. There are numerous Darul-ulooms in Pakistan who have issued fatwa against Akram Awan and Shaykh (Maulana) Yusuf Ludhywani (RA) wrote against his Shaykh (Maulana) AllahYar Khan (RA). Akram Awan's deviousness is well known in Pakistan so if further information is needed it can be acquired from "Jamia tur Rasheed (Karachi)" this Fatwa is 15 years old and not in print otherwise I would have scanned and given it to you. There have also been discussions on the Yahoo Ulama forum which I don't have access to as I am not an Alim. |

im in sheffield and i know masjid umar, is there some sufi lessons and things happening there? There is a dhikr majlis that takes place there on a Thursday night between Maghrib and I'sha. Colonel Hardstone was warned against the group that are leading the program. PLEASE NOTE: Shaykh/Moulana Shua'yb Desai is NOT part of this group but he allows them to have there sessions in a sideroom in the masjid. I have personally spoken to him in the past about Tassawuf (in general and NOT about the particular group CS has warned against) and his position (from what I understood) is that he respects the fact that people are trying to become closer to Allah through these means and as long as they are not doing anything expicitly against the Quran & Sunnah he lets them get on with it. His own stance is that he prefers the general adhkars found clearly established through the practice of the Prophet SAW as oposed to following a particular Tariqah. There is collective dhikr for about 10 minutes everyday before maghrib in the masjid. My be it's best for you to go and see for yourself. Masha Allah the masjid is not rigid in any one particullar outlook, Salafis, Sufis, Bralewis, etc, All attend due to the very open and accepting environment Shaykh Shu'ayb has created there (bi idhnillah). ie. Shaykh Awadullah al-Azhari from Mnchester will be leading the Jummah today at the new building. |

Ws, I have edited it but just in case someone read it before I had the time to change it - Imagine the Fitna that could have caused! Alhamdullilah I have just learnt a lesson in Tassawuf/Tazkiah from my keyboard! |
