Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
Thursday 16 June 2011 | 14 Rajab 1432 AH The Following Is A Saying Of The Respected Shaykh From The Website www.shaykh.org. Ikhlaas - Sincerity: The following summary was given in an inspirational lecture called ‘Niyyat Amaal Ki Rooh’ by Shaykh, in the blessed month of Ramadhan: 1. Make a good intention before doing everything (the aim of this intention should be to please Allah only) 2. Never make a bad intention; as this will be as you are carrying out the bad deed! And so it will be questionable on the day of Qiyaamah. 3. Any good act/deed performed without an intention, will void of receiving any reward. 4. Make different intentions on each act/deed: a person is applying itr (perfume) and makes the following intentions; it is a Sunnah of Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi wassallam; after having entered the masjid the Musalli’s sitting near me will smell the aroma of the perfume, and thus will become pleased and this will please Allah and the aroma of the perfume will spread throughout the masjid, and to add a pleasing smell in Allah’s house will also lead to Allah’s pleasure. Here we have one good deed performed but with the reward of three!
