Default expiation for oath not to see a woman again

I used to have an unlawful relationship with a woman.
Then one day I made an oath. I said "Oh Allah if you restore (an aspect of my health) I will never go to this woman again."

even though I still have that health problem i have not gone to see this woman. Because she is in love with me, and wants to see me I said I shall only see you if you become my wife and she has agreed.

the question is can i marry her? Or have i forfeited the right by my oath? the truth is I made the oath because I did not want to commit zina.

what should I do? Please advise me sincerely and with knowledge

Asalaam Brother.

Your situation is a bit complicated and its advisable that you ask a learned scholar.

Here is the website, click on "ask maulana" and within 3 days inshaAllah, Maulana will reply to your questions.

I had my thoughts on this BUT I just called and confirmed it with a Shaykh.

Your words are meant to be "If Allah (SWT) gives you health you will not go to this woman in an unIslamic Manner"

And your oath is valid and you should uphold it.

Marrying her (i.e. doing an Islamic Nikah) with her is sanctioned by Allah (SWT) and it is not part of your Oath!

You are free to marry her and may Allah (SWT) give you two Barakah and Blessings in your life (Ameen).
