As Salaamu Alaykum.
In the reliance of the traveller it reads on page 522: m3.13 guardians are of two types, those who may compel their fremale charges to marry someone, and those who may not. 1) the only guardians who may compel their charge to marry are a virgin bride's father or a father's father, compel meaning to marry her to a suitable match without her consent. some of the teens are asking me proof for this or where does it state? they are asking doesn't contradict with the story of the woman who came to the prophet(s.a.w.) and said my father forced me to marry someone and i didn't want it and then the prophet(s.a.w.) said if you want you may anul it? |
