Default Thunder clap and Thunderbolt

The thunder has clapped about 5 times where I am.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةٌ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ

SubhanAllaahil ladhii yusabbihur ra’du bi hamdihi wal malaa-ikatu min kheefatihi

“Glory is to Him Whom thunder and angels glorify due to fear of Him.”
Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that some Jews came to the Prophet (SAW) and said, “O Abul Qasim!Tell us about al-Ra’d (The Thunder) what is it?” He said, “He is an angle among angels appointed over the clouds. He holds a whip of fire with which he drives the clouds to whatever Allah wills.” They asked, “What is this sound that we hear?” He said, “This is his urging the clouds when he drives them till they end up where they are commanded to go.” They said “You speak the truth.” And they asked, “What had Isra’il forbidden himself?” He said, “He complained of sciatica and he did not find anything comforting him except the flesh of camel and camel milk. So, hed forbid himself these things.” They said, “You speak the truth.” [Tirmidhi]

Sayyidina Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) reported that when Allah’s Messenger (SAW) heard a thunderclap and the thunderbolt, he would say:

اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَقْتُلْنَا بِغَضَبِكَ وَلَا تُهْلِكْنَا بِعَذَابِكَ وَعَافِنَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ

“ 0 Allah, do not slay us with Your anger and do not destroy us with Your punishment,
but forgive us before that.”
[Tirmidhi]

'Ata' b. Rabah reported on the authority of 'A'isha, the wife of the Apostle of Allah (way peace be upon him), who said: Whenever the wind was stormy, the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to say: O Allah! I ask Thee for what is good in it, and the good which it contains, and the good of that which it was sent for. I seek refuge with Thee from what is evil in it, what evil it contains, and the evil of that what it was sent for; and when there was a thunder and lightning in the sky, his colour underwent a change, and he went out and in, backwards and forwards; and when the rain came, he felt relieved, and I noticed that (the sign of relief) on his face. 'A'isha asked him (about it) and he said: It may be as the people of 'Ad said: When they saw a cloud formation coming to their valley they said:" It is a cloud which would give us rain" (Qur'an, xlvi. 24). ( Sahih Muslim:Book #004, Hadith #1962)
