The reason I ask is because I want to put the emphasis on the sunnah. If I can quote the hadith or practice it comes from with and include it on a note with the dates, then surely this is 'dhikr' as well as I am trying to spread knowledge to the other guests too?
Does that make sense? Yes, we do this practice in Pakistani weddings, but I want to trace where the custom comes from and relate it back to Islam. Any help genuinely appreciated. |

![]() Don't feel offended but in India people often talk about "bhooke bengalis". After reading your post I know what it means. |

![]() And you kept nothing for us! Wassalam P.S.: Ignore that silly thing by the physician above. For next five days he'll be scavenging for food. That is what happens when you go to Shanghai. I hope he packs up some dates and almonds before leaving. P.P.S: Dear moderators you have my permission to delete posts 5,7,8 and 9. |
