Default OCD Kicks in again
I went to the toilet at the masjid. They have the taps that they have in Saudi. The force of the water was such that it splashed on to my body. Immediately I felt uncomfortable, and so I tried to gather water in my hand to rub over the affected areas. Then I had to wash my hands and perform istinja by which time the pressure was on because somebody was knocking at the door. I came out in a hurry having not finished cleaning myself. I then proceeded to wash my hands in the wudhu khana but as someone was there I didn't manage to wash them properly and so I drove home having not read Salah. Tomorrow I will wipe the steering wheel with a wet tissue, take a full bath, change my clothes and pretend I am fine. I will be ok for a few days until another OCD episode.

Recite Manzil daily. It consists of specific Ayah of the Quran which is meant to cure such whispers and thoughts.
Download the pdf here: http://www.mediafire.com/?vcm1uzjem1gh3zr

May Allah grant you a cure for your illness. Ameen.

Why give your control in the potentially true western view by talking about OCD? Why don't you give your control to definitely true Islamic view? Submit completely to Allah (SWT). Have a Shaikh brother.
Now coming to above episode.
Tell me how did Hazrat Ali (RA) recognize Allah (SWT)?
If you know the answer then tell me how do you recognize Allah (SWT)-based upon above experience.
And since you are in the cleaning act please flush OCD, Adler, Jung and Freud into toilet.
Done?
Good.

Brother Soulful I can relate to what you are talking about, but you do know that a certain amount of impurity is allowed on your clothing before your clothes are considered impure and invalidate your Salah.

Dear Br. Soulful, indeed what you experience is difficult, but brother please visit SunniPathQ&A and search for waswasa and read the advice. I know what it can be like to have this problem so its good to also make Du'a.

brother soulful,
remember brother try your best.we sometimes take things to the extremes and make things hard for ourselves.
i know we should keep a balance between hope and fear but don't forget ALLAH SWT IS MOST FORGIVING.
i feel sometimes we are too fearful and we forget that ALLAH SWT is most forgiving.
my sincere advice to you brother is to have more hope and remind yourself "ALLAH SWT IS MOST FORGIVING".
my dear brother, whether whispers come to you or not, just say to yourself, "ALLAH IS MOST FORGIVING" again and again and instill this in your heart and brain.
may ALLAH SWT guide us all and make things easy for you brother soulful and everyone else.aameen.

Aha I guess I found my soul mate, cause I'm just like you are. I can't stand even a small grain of possible dirt.

Br. Maripat, please tell us how sayyiduna 'Ali recognized Allah? shukran

The gist is that Hazrat Ali (RA) said that I have recognized Allah by foiling of my intentions.

The meaning is that when our best intentions, planning and execution does not bring fruit then it means that there is a Higher Power that has Power over everything. This is how Sayyidina Ali (RA) recognized Allah (SWT).

Now this foiling of our best intentions, their not coming to fruition, is something that keeps happening to us frequently. How do we react? By frustration. How should we react? By recognizing Allah. Every foiling of our intentions is a wonderful opportunity to recognize Allah (SWT). It is the surety that we were under the attention of His Mercy. What do we do instead of that? We draw the worst conclusions about Allah (SWT).

To complete the argument just look at the Qais-Lailah incidence narrated here.

There is a similar story of a so called bad person in times of Hazrat Musa (AS). Some knowledgeable person should tell that.
