Default regarding..the correct way of writing...."IN SHAA ALLAH"...

salaam: i would like to share this very informative mail.....

AS Received:

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

The Correct way of writing.... "IN SHAA ALLAH"...When writing "God Willing" in Arabic/English,

we should not write it as...."inshaAllah" or "inshallah"......because it means "Create Allah".

The above statement would be literally a derogatary...

For Ex: if any Arab say “Insha Buruj”

Translation of the above statement would be "Construct Tower".

إن شاء الله : If we write only "Insha" it means we are missing the word "hamza." Therefore, to add “Hamza” Alphabet "A" should repeat THRICE.

Arabic Word "Insha" reveals to "construct". I hope immigrants of Arab countries are familiar with this word.

Whether Arabic or English please make sure,

we write it properly as "In shaa Allah",......With Triple AAA this means "If Allah willed"

Even if one writes Inshallah or Inshaa Allah won't people reading it pronounce it as itself hence both meaning the same. ?
Just a thought.

السلام عليكم

Has anybody ever been so stupid as to think somebody saying insha'allah meant Allah constructed?! I think this is a bit over the top... what about when you wrote "jazak", shouldn't you have written jazaak Allah with an extra 'a' just so we know exactly what you mean, and specify it is Allah who does the rewarding, in case we thought it was someone called Abdalaziz...(Sorry... 'Abd al-'Azeez)

Rules of transliteration of Arabic into Roman are not consensual, so it is my hope people don't use this to cause (another useless) fitna. Making a point is fine.
By the way it's 'derogatory' not derogatary.

Take it easy brother. All the sister has done is pasted an email that she received thinking it to be something beneficial to the ummah. If the information is incorrect let her know politely.

More so on an internet forum where we have no idea who we are talking to. Sometimes the person could be new to the deen or be the only muslim in the family.

They have no one to turn to except fellow Muslims. But if we also shoot down everything that they say we could be the means of someone leaving the deen.

May Allah guide us all

salaam: yes, it does make diiference when u see the script with not proper transliteration. so i think sender of this mail just took initiative as muslim's responsibility to let other muslims know about the correct way of writing.

"ASSALAM-U-ALAIKUM" ...."(TUM PAR SALAMATI HO)"....correct way of pronounciation.

we URDU speaking muslims make huge mistakes in pronouncing salaam..notice below how the meanings change when we don't pronounce it correctly..

SAAM-O-OALAIKUM- (TUM BARBAAD HO JAO)

ASAAM-O-ALAIKUM - (TUM KU MAUT AJAAYE)

ASSA-E-KUM - (TUM KHUSHI KU TARSO)

SLAM-LE-KUM - (TUM PE LAANAT HO)

THESE ARE BASIC MISTAKES WE DO AND WE DON'T EVEN REALISE.

I have never heard Urdu speakers pronounce salam in the way that you have written. The commonest mistake that I have seen is saying "SALAM WALEY KUM". :

(1) But you are aware of those people who intentionally misuse words. Right? I have experienced it personally.
(2) Sometimes some things have to be said just to encourage eenie meenies. Like a tug to the pony tail. I was going to suggest the very same action when a young one was getting worked up on the other thread. Now even brother Mukhtar has switched to the Lane-of-Jalal. I am praying for the best.

salaam: we will inshaaallah...try to find the meaning of this word from scholars.. if the meaning is wrong then we'll add this too on the list.

i just want to make it clear whoever has doubt about this chart ... this chart is not made-up or fabricated but these are the exact salaams heard from many urdu speaking muslims that is why this chart is out there for public to correct themselves and when people read this chart their conscience itself will realise them...
this chart is in urdu script too...Inshaaallah..i will post it .

Rather then trying to get people to use transliterations and englishized or urdhuized arabic - how about you put that same effort into either learning how to speak arabic or teaching someone how to speak arabic

I would love to live ina world where the biggest problems our Ummah faced was the wheather we should put a "AA" or a "AAA" in In shaa(a) Allah or weather sub continentis are properly pronouncing their "ayn"'s

and since we are on the topic of useless rhetoric - whats with theuse of the phrase "salam" or salams" - is this the greetin of the beleiver now?
