Assalam Alikum

A family friend has been blessed with a child but they are struggling to agree on a name. They took mashwara from the local imam who suggested that the names they favor be put onto pieces of paper and let a child 6-7 year old choose one. The imam sahib said there was something about choosing from drawing lots from paper in the quran. Can someone more knowledgeable please advice about the particular incident in the quran.
