Is it permissable for a Muslim to join French Foreign Legion? (It's a part of French military.)

Why would you want to join the FFL? they are pretty much full of ex-criminals and people who want to escape their lives. You need to give up your identity, choose a french name etc, and also you have to be hard as nails. Usually people would join if they're on the run (you get a new identity and leave everything behind, and become immune to being arrested).

On top of that you are basically an expendible piece of cannon fodder: FFL missions are usually the most high risk and where the french government doesn't want to 'waste' french troops. And you'll probably be sent to kill muslims.

Brother it would be better to refrain to join an army which does not have pure Islamic goals. If you are to join an army it should be the one of the Khalifa, InshAllah. A person usually dont do major sins all on a sudden, It is with small small things that Shaytan leads us astray. So we should be careful bro. This Legion may have bad intentions. Initially there might not anything against Islam. But slowly you might be dragged in and one day you might find yourself fighting against Muslims(auzhubillah). So my humble advice is to refrain.
