Salafis are not the problem, I lived in a Salafi city for a very long time and they are not that bad, I would describe them as Reliable and lovers of Justice but they do have a Clumsy extremist approach at some points, IT ALL DEPENDS ON THIER LEADER or SHEIKH because they do follow his Religious and political stances and if he is corrupt then he can bring distruction to all his followers anyways enough about that....
As for the Saudi Government I used to call them Wahhabi because of the Wahhabi Clerics that have influence on the most important government positions but recently I started calling them Traitors as that word describes thier case more accurately and falls into place with how they act, CAN WE NOT SAY THE SAME ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT OF MOROCCO? CAN WE NOT SAY THE SAME ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT OF LIBYA? CAN WE NOT SAY THE SAME ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT OF EGYPT AND SYRIA? Why are we wasting our time trying to figure out if they are Hanbali or Wahhabi or Sufi or Whatever the Hell they once claimed to be....

Interesting point here:

Are there any other 'Wahabbi' type governments out there? Because then they will surely be America And Israels best of friends, offering them half price petrol and killing and chopping off tongues of many ulama.

WASALAM

According to the teachings of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahab the Saudi government would be murtad, so how can one call the Saudi government as "wahabi"?

The biggest chamchas are the psudo sufis and not just the Saudi regieme.

At least the Saudi Scholars donot stand for a photo shoot with the mass murder and clear oppressors of the muslims. Saudi scholar have repeatedly spoke out against kuffur influcence. The likes of kashimr 89 seems to forget that. Anyone recall sufi forum I wonder.
Kashmir please bring forward evidance where scholars toungs were chopped off or is it one of your irrational outburst like the one from RQSSNT.
I'm sure if you look on Google you will see pics of Saudi kings and princes shaking hands with likes of Simon peres and other well known Wahabis lovers

The saudi kings are not the representatives of ' Wahabism' , the 'Aale Shaykh' are. Kabbani , haqqani , Tahir Qadri , Irfan Shah , Abdul Qadir etc represent Sufis ( or one may call them pseudo-Sufis).

1. The first one openly castigated caliphat in America

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQNE-GcHhHU

2.The second one met Pope and asked him to pray for him

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULgGMf1r3lo

3.The third one celebrates Christmas

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV2__YOTVwM

4.The fourth one recently met Jack straw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3kV6_QX34Q

The Barelvis cum these Sufis are the worst thing that could ever happen to Islam , as billions started to follow a man who was an intellectual fallacy himself, Who lacked the basic schooling and tutoring , let alone having the capabilities of a 'mujtahid'. They are the fungus in the mind of the Ummah and whatever 'atrocities' are attributed to the 'Wahabis' are far lesser than those caused by the followers of Mr A.Raza Barelvi.

I don't see how this brother isn't making a fair point.

So long as ikhtaalif is allowed, I don't see how Salafism is really such a bad thing in comparison to some of the very strange things that go on supposedly under the banner of Sufism. In the meantime why is it that we get to point out the worst examples of Salafism (such as la-madhabis thinking everyone with a Bukhari translated by Dr. Muhsin Khan is a capable mujtahid) but whenever someone points out what is placed under the banner of tasawwuf by certain sorts there is a hastening to state that a terminology shouldn't be judged by its worst adherents. I don't see how this isn't a problematic stance to hold, to be honest.

Then again, the 'so long as ikhtaalif is allowed and respected' is quite the elusive thing among some scholars of the movement.

What is a mental doctor? Would you elaborate ? and well .. I do believe with all my honesty that Barelvis are a fungus in the mind of Ummah. At times , i can't hide my emotions.
