Do we need more tajweed institutes for sisters in the UK , i find that the science is very ill accesible to many sisters out there. Maybe due to work,home life and other pressing matters they don't find the time to study this subject.

But those are the people that are trying to find the time and female teacher to teach the science.
what of those thousands of mothers and sisters that don't even know what tajweed is ?
what of them what can we do for them.

I was speaking to some of my shuyuukh , one the issues he discussed was the pressing need for our instistutes to be established for our sisters to come study when the kids are away and the husband is at work .

Because Quran is something a wife mother and sister can do more than her husband .

I am of the opinion that Quran is the most usefull islamic science for housewife/mother.
she has so much time on her hands and would this not be better than watching television and waiting for her husband.

reciting Quran when she is cooking, when is watching the kids , when she is sitting, when she is standing.

this is what i teach my students that inshalah allah will bless you with a husband and many children and what i try to pass on to you is knowledge that will benefit you in this life by teaching Quran to your children and husband and other sisters.

and in the afterlife when every verse shall take you higher in jannah.

So what can we do help the sisters in our community recite the Quran properly .

what style shall we teach in ?

Sister, is it possible to teach tajwīd by means of online communication? (e.g. via paltak, using a headset and microphone)

Many sister don't have the possibility to travel far to be in the company of female tajwīd teachers like you, so maybe it would be a possibility to reach a lot more sister by using paltalk etc..?

The internet has played a vital role in the spread of islamic knowledge but i definetly think that tajweed cannot be removed from the mouth of scholars rather than at the feet of scholars.

it's an oral science that requires the teacher to see your mouth movements, lip movements, tongue movements. the teacher needs to see you for him or her to correct you.

I have tried teaching online but given up that many years ago due to the difficulty involved

Would video-conferencing via webcam be a suitable way to teach tawjīd? (This way also the lips, teeth, mouth, etc. can be seen.)

there other minor things which are helpfull that can only be done face to face like clapping to show to person that they have to stop, for certain qiraat this is vital when teaching this.

when teaching stoppping position it is very visual and when teaching elongation and other things,
once the theoritical tajweed is done which is 30% of tajweed then you are left with 70% of practical tajweed.

this stage is where you iron out all the makhaarij huroof and sifaat huroof, i teach these two subjects at least for a 3 months 7 days a week to the dedicated students because arabic has many D,Ghayn,ghaa, ayn, etc like sounds that many people fail to grasp , including other letters like the Raa which has specific rules and the saakinah rules etc

I would love to teach more people but i only teach dedicated students i don't waste my time with those who want to attend for the sake of it .

if you do not want to come and memorise Tufatul atfaal and Jazariya then i am not the teacher people are looking for.

Tajweed is learned through the memorisation of two poems tufataul atfaal and Jazariya and the memorisation of them is the classical way .

Too many Westerners think that its not required and make up all thse strange excuses that i consider laziness.

the poems are memorised in every madrasa whether is deoband or azhar or the desserts of Mauritania.

subhanalah sorry for the rant i got a bit carried away.

so what i am saying is get me a list of dedicated female students who want to learn and memorise those two poems . Learn tajweed and inshalah hopefully have aspirations to pass this knowledge on and or maybe learn other quranic sciences like rasm,dabd, and Qiraat.

I am willing to start a class for sunniforum if i get get a dedicated group who send you emails with ages occupations and what time they think they can do the class and why they want to study it
what level of quran they are on and such information.

then you guys send me the list with the sisters name and age hidden so i can asses if i can do this or not .

For those sisters who are already hufaad on the forum i could do a seperate class to complete the qiraat of their choice of whether that is the recitaion of imam naafi' for those north africans on the forum. and the recitation of assim of those from the rest of the world.

or if you hufaadh want to start a new qiraat then we could do something like Qaaloon or something that sounds completly different khalf

or we could do shaatibiya

but i would have to see the demand first

Defenitly want to do something with the sisters but this remains to be seen and approved by sunniforum and approved by the sisters and brothers

Tajweed is fard and must be learnt by all Muslims,

The desire to learn is not there with the majority of Muslims, but perhaps because they don't realise its importance- even the Imams of the ordinary masjids I have come across pronounce letters in the urdu way, etc so the elders of our community don't know/don't want to know and hence the young ones don't either. This is the situation in most of the UK, I reckon
