Default Performing Funeral Prayer More than Once

It seems according to Hanafi fiqh, in principle, one should only once perform salatul Janaza.

However, we see that people who die in the west, get a funeral prayer in their own area, and also when the body is shifted to their homeland.

So the janaza is performed twice.

I once read in aap beeti by Ml. Zakariyya that the funeral prayer of Shaykh al-Hind was performed twice.

A "heela" was made i.e. the son did not took part in the first funeral prayer, so that would be the reason to perform it twice. Something like that.

Can this be done?

As-salamu ´alaykum,

It can be done in the Shafi´i school. One may also pray even if the body is absent.

wassalam
