Default Ahmad Shah Massoud
Assalaamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

What are the views of Deobandi 'Ulema about him? Or what is the majority view by scholars about him?

BarakAllâhu fîkum

I don't know why you would be concerned with the view of Ulema of the man, unless there are Ulema who knew him or interacted with him or were in regular contact with those who did.

As for those who knew the man and dealt with him, let us just say that if, indeed, we should not expose the bad deeds of a Muslim who has died, then few will have benefited as much from this rule than Ahmad "shah" Masood.

Thank Allah that he is no longer alive; if he were, I wonder how much worse things may have been for the people of Afghanistan.
