although I have not seen the video:

a) How do you define fasting growing? in terms of conversion or reproduction i.e. more children are born into the Ummah simply due to the rules of compounding.
b) How do you even measure this? most statistics are based on x number of people surveyed/researched/studied and the results are applied to the general masses thus this type of research is unreliable since not factual.
