As Salaam Alaykum,

I am looking for websites with free Islamic lecture. English... and I am interested in learning tafsir. Although all other subjects are welcome.

Slightly salafi, No?

First you say:

I felt betrayed by zarabozo - I felt tricked and duped - and I have ever since, warned all new Muslims of zarabozos trickery
Then you recommend people go to a website with his lectures?

I'm confused....

blast...Ive been duped again...I actually didnt know zarabozo had lectures on that site.

There are some salafis on there yes, but there are also some deobandis - and since most of the people here are deobandi I thought hed like to see their names. Would you have prefered I told him to stay away from certain lecturers listed on that site? I figured, hes a big boy, he can determine if Bilal Philips is a salafi or not. And the lectures by Awlaki on there are on history - I actually have copies of those lectures given to me by Awlaki himself - Those lectures are good, he presents the stories of the Anbiya as they have been presented in the Quran and Hadeeth. He doesnt say anything on those cds that any salafi would have beef with, nor does he say anything any sufi would have beef with.

I'm just saying Bro. I don't want people to start calling you a Wahhabi Salafi because of your propagating Salafi inclined websites.

In fact he asked for lectures on Tafseer and it just so happens that one of them is by Zarabozo on surah al-fatihah.....

for me forgetting last time

Tafsir:

1) http://islamicvillage.podomatic.com/...17_37_41-08_00
2) http://islamicvillage.podomatic.com/...12_22_00-08_00
3) http://islamicvillage.podomatic.com/...20_15_07-08_00

There are brilliant Sirah lessons by Shaykh Ibrahim on there, as well as mustalah al-hadith and shuruh on books of the ahnaaf by Shaykh Atabek an-Nasafi.

Why is it slightly salafi and what is the problem with promoting it?

What is wrong with Jamal Zarabozo? He does not give his own tafseer but rather used a number of books on tafseer for the Surah Fatihah series.
