Default Guy side coming for rishta
A.a

I hope im not posting this is the wrong section - if I am hopefully the admin team can move this to the right section.

Right - I hope inshallah someone can give me some advice.

I have a rishta coming over in a few weeks, I was just wondering is it normal protocol for the girl side (me) to give gifts to the guys side. Or do we just accept gifts on the first meeting with the family? (Girl and guy have met before with a chaperone) And perhaps give gifts when we go to see them (if it gets that far?)

Please advise...

I never got a gift from my wife's family when I went to meet them (found out later they were considered kunjoos by their wider family). To be fair I did not expect anything either but I took a gift for my future wife. So in my opnion I don't think at this stage you should be worrying about gifts afterall you may meet many potential suitors yet. Also any gift may carry the wrong connotation so make the only gift some Tea and Biscuits & a Dua. IA you find happiness.
