Default Does evolution exist in Islam?
I know that us humans were created from dust/dirt but what about the animals?
Were the animals in this day and age created from the process of evolution? I am quite confused.

(Quran 24.45) And Allah has created every animal from water; of them there are some that creep on their bellies; some that walk on two legs; and some that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills: for verily Allah has power over all things.

From this I get the idea that the Qur'an agrees with the idea of evolution for animals.
I was wondering if someone could explain this to me.
