Can any sister or brother please help me with the topic? I would be REALLY grateful.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali is a very famous translator of the holy Quran.
I want to know about the latter part of Abdulah Yusuf Ali's life which is not that well recorded in biography books and also not that much known. If you've read something and something AUTHENTIC regarding the latter part of his life in any biography book then could you please share? Wiki doesn't give a good account of this part and only gives a brief bio. Same goes for yahoo answers. Though i haven't yet checked the encyclopedia of islam. So i was wondering if any of u could help?
Oh and also about his academic carrier and the books he wrote which can be found in pakistan?

I might be able to help you with this. An uncle of mine has written a book on him. I have seen the book my self and also read quiet a bit from it. The author is based in London UK. The name of the book is .’Searching for Solace’ – A biography of Abdullah Yusuf Ali, Interpreter of the Qur’an, 1994 by Dr Jamil Sherif. Hopefully this might help.
