Someone asked Maulana Umer Sahab Palanpuri, that in the effort of tabligh how much important or significant is the ummur of bayan.
He replied that the importance of bayan in effort of TJ is similar to that of a "horn" in a car.
The horn is required in a car and it is used when required. Its presence is helpful but its absense is not so critical as that of engine.
The main quality of the effort is qurbani and taqwa.

If we don't become dae'e by giving dawah then there is chance of becoming madhu'u.
Inorder to give dawah we will have to speak.
Learning six points and doing its muzakara will be highly beneficial in giving dawah and wherby reinforcing/refreshing our Imaan.

In khurooj we learn 6 points in small Halaqas. It is easy to learn in foll parts :-a) Maqsad of each no., b) ahmiyat and fazail of each no., c)zindagi mein laane ke liye 3 line ki mehnat (i- dawate, ii- amali-mashq, iii- dua).

I am also an audience-phobic but Alhamdullilah for doing muzakara within the limit of six nos, i forget my phobia.

We learn so many lengthy question/answers, theorem, derivation etc. But we all face bottleneck for deeni issue.

Once Maulana Umer Sahab Palanpuri was conducting a karguzari of a jamate. He asked one person what have u learned in khurooj. The person replied, I learned six points.
Maulana started crying and said, " itne saal tabligh mein lag kar ho gaye, magar abhi tak, mujhe pehla number bhi nahi aya".
On other occasion he said(mafhum) " tabligh mein lag kar quran-hafiz ho gaya, magar abhi tak pehli number nahi sikh paya"

11 year olds having to do lectures?? and what is this 6 points about anyway ?

It's not really lectures, rather giving a small talk in front of a few ladies.

Six points are six qualities that were found in all the sahaba

1. Emaan
2. Salaah
3. 'Ilm and Zikr
4. Ikramul Muslimeen
5. Ikhlaasun Niyyah
6. Da'wah and Tableegh

I personally don't think people should be forced into giving these talks. Some people are just not that vocal in public.
