Please forgive me if anyone gets offended, but I see in all my days of living, the people around me have this attitude. Now as my dad is a regular Jammati goes to Raiwand in Pakistan, (I thought I'd bring this up here, as some people know UK Jamaat well) am not disrespecting anything about it. Am just wondering, how does a man with so much knowledge and eagerness to please (others) maybe Allah swt also, but mostly in for the fame. Get around so freely and openly. Let me make myself clear, men and women, why don't you just be who you are! Why pretend to be this 'good person' and inside your vile? I really don't get this, how people can carry on this double life ALL THEIR BLOODY LIFE. What should we do when you come across a person or people like this? The Ummah is in such a sad state lol :/ I ask an important personal question to a few people who are higher in Knowledge (Islamic) than me, and all I get was "'ooh you know, you should reaaaally go ask somone else, it's not 'our' place to answer" or some **** like that. So my point being, you claim you are an Imam or something higher like that, then why is it out of your control to answer a simple question? are you that illiterate? Did you not know after your Alim Course, you will be MEETING 'Real people' in 'Real life situations' ..... Serious people make me laugh, sorry if you got upset, its all good. I just needed this highlighted, am so glad how sunniforum have taught me to water down my comments :/ there would have been plenty of swear words in this I can assure you that |

Its people with attitude like you thinking you **** ice cream and others **** have a problem and not the other way round. 1. What makes you better than everyone else.. is the question you must keep asking yourself... are you perfect? .. in everyway?... Once a man was praying to Allah (during the time of the Prophet Musa AS : " O Allah, if I were near you I would give your legs massage" etc etc so Musa AS scolded him and what did Allah say to him? "Leave him O Musa.. I like what he is saying" ... 2. Dont look at others mistakes ... and pray a lot of astagfaar... keep your gaze down... this will deifinitely help....Stop being a nosy parker... change your ***** attitude... 3. Swear words do not help in the long run... believe you me ... i have been thorugh that ***** phase... 4. Accept it... this is a hypocritical world... Once someone asked me ... " I have never seen you becoming angry" and this is what i said to him: " Say something and do the opposite, my friend and then you 'll see." Finally, do not question the wisdom of Allah SWT coz you ll become senile and even angrier..... PRAY FOR THE UMMAH... and do some charity work.... it will soothe your pain.... Pray for Japan.... Its all good!! |

Maybe the person didnt want to give you bad advice so passed it up rather than give you a greater headache later on? Find a clever god fearing person and they will probably give you a good answer. |

The truth is that if anyone of us wore our sins and spiritual diseases outwardly nobody would want to keep any kind of relation with us
Allah is Ghaffar and Sattar for our own benefit as insaan is not forgiving we don't overlook one another's mistakes if we lived in a world where everything was apparent, there would be no harmony and no hope in people as we would not have any role models, children would disrespect their parents, no harmony between husband and wife Its easier to change our zahir than our batin. It is extremely easy for us to start off something with the correct intention and later on our nafs becomes proud of some praise and we start doing things for the wrong reason wallahu alam |

You need to be clearer in what you write. It is difficult to make out exactly who you are criticising......your father, the TJ, Imams....or people in general. Also be sure to recite Astaghfar 100 times after Fajr and 'Asr. It will help you Inshallah. |

There are few important points to take notice of: 1. To dawn in good deeds outwardly, while the inside is still corrupt, is better than exposing one's corruption openly. Example: If a woman covers herself with Hijab, but is inwardly corrupt, is still in a better state, than a person who does not cover at all with the excuse that "i just don't want be double faced, so i better not cover at all". (Sheikh Hamza Yusuf mentions this in the commentary of Sheikh Ahmad Zarruq's work). 2. Ikhlaas takes time. A person is not able to weight lift 200kg in one day. Over time, Allaah blesses a person with Ikhlaas. So we should not deter anybody from a good work on the basis that the person is (currently) doing it for show off. And Allaah knows best. |

In case you are talking about reluctance in giving fatwa, the sahabah (which includes 1000s of people) would only refer to a handful of individuals for fatwa.
This does not detract from the importance of teaching, even if one does not practice on this knowledge oneself (though one should, of course). As for not giving straight answers, please aid your principle with an example; it'll make it easier to grasp, and you'll get more beneficial responses. was-salam |

Assalam Alaikum,
I think i understand what the sister means here.. Yeah you won't get answers, i'm going through the same thing. You will not get any straight answers on certain subjects because the answer leads to the next question which is NOT VERY EASY TO ANSWER... IT TAKES ALOT OF GUTS TO ACCEPT THAT WE ARE REALLY WRONG AND WE ARE SINFUL.. You can go about saying with your tongue that i'm a sinner but it's not easy to accept it... That's what the real reason is for dodging questions.. Those who give examples of the pious predecessors and the Sahaba in this matter should also try to follow their example in matters where it's required the most in this sad state of Ummah.... |
