![]() I watched earlier today on Islam channel a man (can't remember his name) who was released from Guantanamo Bay. He is actively helping people who are suffering in these types of situations, and their families, Mashallah his work should be praised. Such a brave person. Also I could not find but two other brothers who were released were on BBC News Night, and were confronted with the solider that was involved in torturing the prisoners, even though this particular solider didn't cause them direct harm. I found that quite strange personally, not saying it's a bad thing. But like this affected even the soldiers, because at the end of the day, they are people too have families etc etc, they are employed to do a job... it's a devastating state of affairs. How sad it must be for those that are in these types of situations, I pray to Allah to ease their suffering and make us all better people and better Muslims. Ameen ![]() |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8452937.stm ![]() Jazakallah khair sister, you won't believe how long it took to find that link, I obviously gave up in the end! ![]() It's an important Topic I thought, worth sharing. There was also the Brother from Forest gate, don't know his name either, mashAllah I watched his interview on BBC few years back, it brought me to tears. He is a true solider in my eye's, Allah's solider! He was accused of getting involved with all that funny business, but he didn't even know how to read!! Ya Allah that was simply amazing. ![]() We should have a thread here, to highlight these few soldiers in Islam, they really need to be recognised, and others to follow. As this life is temporary and we should not waste our time in enjoying it. One thing I most love about these types of tests ALLAH gives us, is that we come out of it better and much stronger Muslims, may Allah give us these tests always so we can prove to Him s.w.t that we can get through them, with His mercy and achieve greatness from it. Ameen. |

Guantanamo Bay is an outrage from the beginning till the end, there are things on America´s record that we can debate, but this is not one of them. Definitely wrong from day 1.
I feel bad for the soldiers too, but I do not agree that it was just their job. Those people were doing the physical torture and you cannot excuse that by saying they were given an order. That is not to say that most of the blame lies on the shoulders of the American government that implemented and supported this torture. One last point - how come nobody has been sent to jail for torturing our brothers yet? |
