Personally, I have a lot of Somalian friends and I know the Somalians have tremendous potential, if they get organised.
Allah JJ brought about the war in their country so that they can spread out in the whole world everywhere like us the Gujjus.... and MashaAllah they are doing very well as an Ummah.
If I were you I would try to forget about going back and concentrate on Dawa wherever you are!

al-shabaab are working to impose shariah there, break free of western economic hegemony and give somalians a pure islamic society.
if somebody disagrees with their religious preferences then perhaps they can help them conquer the country (or do whatever they can) and then go there aiming to reform the society.

is is much easier to reform a religious society which one might think is extremist than a irreligious secular society. people often forget that.

al-shabaab hold the most land in somalia. in sha Allah this tactical retreat from kismayo will only result in their resurgence. may Allah aid them in administering shariah in whole of somalia and may Allah expose the propaganda of the liars.
