Surah Baqarah (2)
152. Then do ye remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me, and reject not Faith. By being grateful we obey Allah(SWT). And obedience to Allah(SWT) is the purpose of our life. Hence by being grateful we fulfill the purpose of life. ![]() |

Shaikh Sa'adi (RA) begins Gulistan by asserting that in going and out going breathings are two different blessings and hence a single full breathing means two blessings. And on each blessing a thank is obligatory. Clearly for each breathing we are obliged to thank Allah(SWT) twice. ![]() ![]() |

Alhamdulillah for the beautiful bird song this bright, warm, glorious morning! Alhamdulillah for the hawk on the post. Alhamduillah for the meadowlark perched closeby, singing her tune. Alhamduillah for the great horned owl that took flight from one branch to another and perched close to me.
Alhamdulillah for water, flowing so clean, at a steady rhythm, in one direction so peacefully. Alhamdulillah for the show put on by a brave Canada goose - protecting nests, persevering in its attempts to land on a steep cliff to stand watch over nests below... finally succeeding but making such a fuss that everyone now knows where the nests are but does anyone dare approach? ![]() Alhamdulillah for everything! |
