You should never buy anything dell related Doctor saheb. Dell are a load of rubbish. Is there any particular reason as to why you want to root it? However for rooting and custom roms, the XDA developer forums are the best, see the following page;

I was thinking about rooting my tablet too recently, its getting on a bit now and is incredibly slow.

perhaps dell related cellphones, but dell laptops, pc's are great buys...
