Ameen.
I remember once. I was at a party, and I met a Russian from Kazan. Kazan as you may know is one of the most muslim cities in Russia. I got very excited. I asked him. "Are you a Muslim?". He said "yes". I was very happy and told him about the blue mosque in Kazan and said it was very beautiful. He agreed with me and had another beer.
The problem wasn't him drinking, the problem was, I was in a situation were I saw Muslims doing bad things, a situation which I should have stayed away from.
I know a lot of brothers love IPL. I've seen IPL a little bit once or twice. But everytime they've had gyrating dancers. The problem isn't them, how they behave is between them and Allah swt. The problem is in what I choose to watch, the things i choose to engage in and so on.
This isn't to have a go at anyone, I think this thread is valuable, it's just a thought I had.

Have elders from nizamuddin chalked out any strategy to reach out to people in this industry? Or are they left at the mercy of Allah ta'ala alone?

Effort of TJ across the border has been instrumental in terms of penetrating into the khawas from various background and bringing them close to the Deen.

Hashim Amla a young and talented muslim cricketer in South African team pays $500 per month as a fine for not putting the tag of wine company at his T-shirt. Hashim Amla also refused the offer of IPL due to the dance and bad Indian Cricket Culture in IPL.

His $500 will better his place in Jannah, Insha Allah.

The Khans, Saif Ali Khan and Shah Rukh Khan earning millions by advertising for Wine.

May be this naath should be played before them.

Tera kya banega bande

Tu soch Aakhirath kee
!!!!!

The other players:

Muslim players who have put logos of alcohol products in IPL.

1. Wasim Jaffer: Played for Banglore, King Fisher brand.
2. Muhammad Kaif: Played for Rajhastan , Royal brand.
3. Yusuf Pathan(Son of Imam of Mosque and brother of Irfan Pathan): Played for Rajhastan.
4. Kamran Akmal: Played for Rajhastan

Wasim Akram was highly criticized 4 or 5 years ago when he worked in ad of a alcohol company.
Are you sure about this because they were quotes flying around like this on social sites attributed to Amla but I have read his management tweet (cannot find it atm) denying this quote said by Hashim Amla. He probably doesn't play because of the very reason you have mentioned in OP but I don't think he has ever uttered them words in media. I remember Yusuf Pathan patching the logo up on his shirt in few matches in IPL 3 or 4 but he didn't do that afterwards, I think he probably had some warning from IPL bosses because IPL is a purely commercial event rather than cricket. Mohammad Kaif got married to a journalist last year and her name is Pooja according to internet so not sure if she's even reverted. Wasim Jaffer has Masha'Allah grown beard for the past 2 years so I doubt he would make that mistake again if given another chance in IPL. I don't think players have much say in IPL tbh and they earn far much more than they would earn from non-IPL cricket during the whole year.

We pray for the hidayah of these khans. These khans can be source of hidayath for many others.
Which Khans?

You mean this khan;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ns_Lc1jaWak

or do you mean this khan;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&fe...&v=KsjFW_B2HSk

Why not pray hidayah for all the hindus.

warning videos contain women and music.

I recall many TJ brothers from Mumbai posting about the work among these khawas.

But let me admit: TJs withdraw from SF very quickly. Wallahu Aalam.

I guess, that was in the thread 'Daw'ah to Bollywood'. Somebody also posted in that thread about certain Shaykh Osama who met these Khans and Govinda through Karan Johar (as rehbar). SRK was even tashkeeled for 3 days in Khurooj.

Wallahu'aalam!

whats this obsession with personalities? Hashim Amla has done a good thing but the majority of muslims would not stand up for their principles. How many muslims work in haram jobs like banks??? Do we have the same attitude with them? I have heard many many practicing muslims tell me that so and so earns a lot of money and works at a good place. I ask where and am told that it is some bank....I was told about some person being very pious etc, goes jamat...then I was told in the same sentence that the guy works in a bank....people will do anything for money including pious people and these khans are no exception. What would be more worrying than the advertisments would be some of the kufr these guys occasionally come up with especially considering hinduism and islam being the same etc.

I had the same attitude towards these people. But later I met them personally and heard their side of story. I was convinced. May be you should also hear from them. Unless you get nearer to them they won't reveal things.
I know the first cousin of Arif khan (Shah) whose name you mentioned in the other thread. He featured along with Rani Mukerjee and Sr. Bachhan in the movie called Black.

He really has an amazing karguzari. I even have his current photo with an Imamah and long beard in which he looks like Maulana Tareeq Jameel. Masha'Allah! Allah jisey hidayath sey nawaazey.

We shouldn't look down upon anyone because we really don't know their end and neither we know ours. Be it famous personalities or majority of Muslims, everyone is in need of hidaya. Maulana Thanvi Sahab used to consider himself possibly inferior to every Non-Muslims for a non Muslim may accept Islam in future and may become better than him.

Hashim Amla is a Muslim..

In my opinion, Muslims wont advertise any alocohol, participate in ganpati pooja, dance in tujhe dekha yeh toh ....

I dont know which Khans are compared with A muslim ' Hashim Amla'. Please DELETE this thread.

this is like comparing a Wali of your time with some enemies of Islam.

I would respected bro Hashim Amla for his beard and his repulsion against income from alcohol companies.

But when I heard that in the last Ramadhan he played against England; I don't know whether he broke fasting or not, but still it didn't seem to be fair to me and my respect for him drastically decreased.

He could be a great model for muslim cricketers and for spectators also. Somewhere on this forum I read that he had islahi relationship with Shaykh Yunus Patel (RA). Correct me if I'm saying wrong.

I think South African brothers should try to give him dawah to take him in Jamaat.

Assalaam'aaleykum!

He wasn't supposed to fast to begin with. I am sure you know that a Musafir is exempted from the obligation of fasting. So, you can start repecting him again now just in case you didnt know about it.
