I am too in my final yr of degree and hope to do P.G.C.E after
My only worry is that the placements requires having experience of teaching both genders and as an observer of niqaab I am not sure how and if I'll find accommodating placements...
But one will have to (try )cross that bridge when it comes...

You could perhaps work in an Islamic school for a couple of years inshaa Allah as an unqualified teacher and then take the above route to QTS inshaa Allah.
