you guys are dwelling in unhealthy paranoia under the false guise of regulating the deen into a very narrow self defined 'acceptable/orthodox/traditional' window. such paranoia that now its getting really perverted in that sense. which scholar should be taken to the guillotine next ey for dismissal of his entire work portfolio. have you not noticed that this trait will come and bite even traditional revered scholars. even tariq jameel was not spared recently on this forum. who is next? a simple formula for the ever wary and distrustful lot - Allah will not produce good fruits/works/speeches on more occassions than not from a person who is a harmful deviant, a vile kafir or a hypocrite. there is no harm listening to a non-perfect muslim in general as all muslims have deficiencies and capacity to mistake. you can sideline things which you clearly think are wrong but a person who is predominantly a better muslim by his deeds portfolio than most of us and who is engaged full time in deeni works, it is reprehensible that one should say that learning from him will deviate or harm one's islam. i can show alot of reputed mufassireen who have made commentary mistakes. does that discredit their effort and intention and works and that we should keep away from them. alot of musafirren for example on the verse of semen production have made islam look like a clearly refutable unscientific falsity. should such a non-intentional mistake now make us discard all their work because they have 'harmed' islam?
