The few who regarded bank passions halal currently, base it on such arguments on "what is income? Could it be an ordinary item? or must it be treated as gold?" What I've read is that profit its present form is extremely new. Nevertheless, the nearest thing to it had been is coins (foloos, mainly copper I believe, some bronze) which were used quite a long time before. Therefore before looking into it, one should look into students views on "Foloos" used at that time. Since its not silver (Dinars) or gold (Dirhams), some (I believe Shafi'is and some Hanbalis) considered that riba can't happen since its still not profit and of it self. The others stated that it may. Each giving good reasons for the view and through what approach to thinking it had been reached. Based on substance I study, some Hanbalis and Hanafis tied the judgment to weight, and since "Foloos" during the time wasn't considered, riba can't arise (ie weight was the illah that will allow it to be riba). Some added that it shouldnt be achieved in food, although. Then I read elsewhere that some notable Hanafis however said that riba MAY appear in foloos since its used as money, the same as gold Dirhams and silver Dinars. It was considered by malikis from Uroodh Al Tijarah, as an item, perhaps not income treating it. With arguments on the problem as well. Which view may be the most notable Hanafi take on this? And on which could it be based? Also, on what foundation is considering riba applicable paper money based on in Hanafi fiqh, particularly that the judgment was associated with fat, which isnt applicable in paper money? I read that it's centered on it being "naafiqah" as a of exchange) (utilized by everybody but without any details provided. I understand its an extremely step-by-step subject difficult to go over within detail. But because two important rulings are attached to it zakat) and (Riba its undoubtedly an important subject. Also please be aware that this isnt about providing fatwas as a fatwa particularly on a problem like this isnt just for anybody. Also, this isnt about contemplating riba halal or stating zakat isnt wajib on paper money, its that read a very interesting conversation on ahlalhdeeth panel between regional and Azhari students of information discussing this problem (which considered riba relevant to money currently, btw) and it supported my interest to read about the various views on this, and how individuals with a Hanafi history watch it. Jazakom Allah khair.
