Palestinian groups denounce killing of Italian activist http://uruknet.info/?p=m76861&hd=&size=1&l=e May 15, 2011 GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Palestinian groups have condemned the killing of Italian peace naturalist Vittorio Arrigoni discovered dead in Gaza early Friday morning. Salafist extremists in Gaza were thought of kidnapping Arrigoni, a naturalist for the International Solidarity Movement, last seen alive in a movie published online Thursday. In the movie, the kidnappers threatened to destroy Arrigoni until Salafist prisoners were released by Hamas by Friday night. Prior to the contract passed, nevertheless, Hamas said his human anatomy was found hanged in a house northwest of Gaza City. The federal government in Gaza mentioned the "heinous crime" didn't reveal Palestinians' beliefs, faith, practices or practices. In a statement, the federal government said it'd bring the perpetrators to justice. The government expanded its condolences to Arrigoni's family and advised all Palestinians in Gaza to go to his funeral procession as a concept that Palestinians rejected the killing of the peace activist who had been recognized to all citizens as an advocate of the Palestinian cause. Hamas denounced the activist's murder, which it said was completed with a "mentally deviated and banned group." Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum mentioned the killing was "a disgraceful act." He recognized Arrigoni's part and the job of all peace activists "in promoting the putting up with and issues of all Palestinians, in particular those in Gaza." Barhoum added: "We lengthen our condolences to Vittori's family and people." The spokesman said the team accountable for the killing directed to challenge the security of the trapped coastal enclave, to defame the trustworthiness of Palestinians and to separate Gaza from international solidarity. Fatah said the killing was a terrorist offense and an act of infidelity that only served Palestinians' opponents. The killing went against Palestinians' status as a civilized individuals who worked hard to achieve independence and develop a democratic, educated culture, Fatah spokesman Ahmad Assaf said. "This type of crime is unfamiliar to the Palestinians," he explained, adding that regard for human dignity was at the core of Palestinian people's moral beliefs. Islamic Jihad also denounced the "grotesque crime." The movement said the perpetrators offered the Israeli occupation that was inciting from the solidarity movement with the Palestinian cause. The party named on the Gaza government and its security forces to roughly punish Arrigoni's murders. The Palestinian People's Party said Arrigoni's homicide was "a ethical and national crime," and required the perpetrators to be severely punished. "Vittori left his family and birthplace behind to reside with the Palestinians despite stress and episodes to share the putting up with of the Palestinians to the world in his writing," PPP said in a record. The murder was condemned by the Popular Resistance Committees as "a cowardly act." Secretary General of the Palestinian National Initiative Mustafa Barghouthi expressed his deep sadness at the "shocking legal act" which he explained only supported the interests of the opponents of the Palestinian people. Barghouthi presented his condolences and sympathy to Arrigoni's household, adding that the killing was "totally incompatible with Palestinian and individual values." Meanwhile, a Salafi team in Gaza At-Tawheed california Al-Jihad rejected participation in Arrigoni's abduction and killing in a declaration but said the killing was "a natural results of the plan of the government completed against the Salafi."
