Default Were "Sahaba" only the friends of hard times?
I read someplace in either Bukhari or Muslim that Syedna RasulUllah said some time round the conquest of Mecca (or was it Hunayn?) anything to the result that "do perhaps not trouble me about my Sahaba", indicating thereby the old friends (who'd been with him at least prior to the Battle of Ditch or possibly at Hudaybia?). Does this imply that Sahaba in the actual sense were the older friends who'd been with the Prophet in hard times? easily am wrong in what amounts to only a representation on the said Hadith) I am forgiven by May God
